CLOTH, PAPER, SCISSORS, Fall 2018
I never really thought about submitting my art to a publication. But, one day in 2018, I was reading my new issue of Cloth, Paper, Scissors. Remember that one? It was one of my favorites. As I was paging through, I saw a call for "A Stitched Cityscape." I heard a "you should do it." So, I decided to give it a go, no pressure. The one that got published was the first one I did. I did several other ones due to hearing the guy on that other shoulder saying "it's not good enough." I dolled up the box too, known as sending mail art. An extra layer of goodness. When I got the email saying I had been chosen, I nearly fell off my chair. The editor said they loved it. It was so much fun, I started a stitched journal for this type of work.
